Jenny is a Chinese girl. She has already been living in Canada for one year. She was
hoping for the summer holiday so much, because it was time for her to go back to
China to visit her parents and her friends.
Jenny felt so excited when she got on the plane that she could see her parents again
soon. She had to stay on the plane for 10 hours, with her aunt and her cousin, who
were also going back to China. Although they had to wait for a long time, the time
seemed to pass very quickly. Finally, they arrived at Beijing, China.
After they finished taking their luggage, they walked to the exit of the airport. Jenny
was not sure what she was feeling when she walked through the exit. She just thought
“I am about to meet my parents! Where are they?” She kept on searching the faces
of her parents carefully, as if she was picking a needle from a bottle of sand. Suddenly,
she saw a round face with an almost bald head. It was her dad! Her dad saw her at
the same time. He was beaming and waving widely. Jenny waved back at him. She
wanted to hug her daddy so much, since she hadn’t hugged him for one year, but she
had to follow the crowd to the end of the line. When she got to the end, she saw
another familiar face. Her mum was holding a trolley, and waiting hopefully. Her mum’s
face looked as happy as a flower when she saw her. She asked Jenny a lot of
questions about her situation in Canada, while she put Jenny’s luggage on her trolley.
Jenny and her parents said goodbye to Jenny’s aunt and cousin when they got into
the parking lot, and they drove back to their house.
They arrived at their house. Jenny felt kind of strange because everything in this
house was so familiar, but there were still something that have been changed.
It was already 10 o’clock. Jenny felt so sleepy and she rushed to her old bedroom.
She must have had a very sweet dream that night, although she couldn’t remember
that dream.
The summer trip was wonderful. Jenny went to Japan and Korea during the vacation.
She tasted lots of yummy food, and visited some attractions, but none of them could
gave her that feeling like when she saw her parents. The summer had soon passed.
Jenny was sad when she had go to the airport again. She needed to go back to Canada.
The time during the vacation was very enjoyable, but now she had to say goodbye to
her parents. She turned around again and again to see her parents, like she wouldn’t
be able to see them again. “Don’t be too sad”, she told herself, “I can see them again
in two years. All I have to do is wait, until our next meeting.”
